Through St. Barnabas Grade School, 4th graders through Jr High students have the opportunity to participate in a handbell or hand chime choir. All St. Barnabas 4th graders have the chance to try the chimes and tryout for a choir. Interested 5th graders through Jr. High students are placed in a choir at the discretion of the Bell Choir Director Linus Horcher. Although most of the choirs meet during school, the Jr. High choir meets after school at 2:45pm. Non-St.Barnabas students can join this choir upon successfully completing an audition. Contact Linus Horcher at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Adult Hand Bell Choir
The group enriches celebrations with solo hand bell selections, as well as anthem accompaniments. The St. Barnabas parish is blessed with a wonderful 3-octave set of Handbells. One Sunday per month, normally the 3rd Sunday of the month at 9AM, a dedicated group of ringers provides this sublime and intricate musical art form to our liturgy. This Handbell Ensemble is open to all parishioners (ages 13 and older), even those with minimal music training or experience. The Adult Bell Choir rehearses Monday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the church. Contact our Handbell Director Linus Horcher at email@example.com for more information.
